important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But after nearly a decade of building\u2014from a personal technology blog to an education platform and finally to a technology consulting and research company\u2014I have learned that incorporation is probably the easiest part of building a business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Building trust is much harder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This article shares my journey and the lessons learned, which may help aspiring founders, consultants, researchers and technology professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Phase 1: Build Knowledge Before You Build a Company<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Around eleven years ago, I wasn&#8217;t thinking about building a company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I simply started writing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I published technical blogs, created tutorials, contributed to communities, answered questions, mentored students and shared what I learned from enterprise projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That eventually evolved into <strong>TechAndTrain<\/strong>, a platform focused on learning, technical education and knowledge sharing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Looking back, this phase created something far more valuable than revenue:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Credibility<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Domain expertise<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Professional network<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Portfolio of work<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Teaching experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Industry visibility<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If nobody knows your work, registering a company changes very little.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p Problems<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Instead of chasing ideas, I focused on solving practical enterprise problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over the years I worked class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many founders start with a company and then search for problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I believe the opposite works better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Find meaningful problems first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Phase 3: Develop Multiple Sources of Credibility<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Long before clients evaluate your company, they evaluate you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over the years I intentionally invested in multiple forms of credibility:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Industry consulting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Enterprise delivery<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Teaching<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Speaking engagements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Technical blogging<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Open-source contributions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Continuous higher education<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Research projects<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Mentoring students<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each reinforces the others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Clients rarely ask only about your company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They ask about your experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After years of experience came the formation of <strong>Harwani Systems (OPC) Private Limited (HSOPC).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company wasn&#8217;t created because I wanted to become an entrepreneur overnight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was created because the work had already begun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company simply became the legal structure around years of accumulated expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today the focus includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Technology Consulting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Enterprise Architecture<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Artificial Intelligence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Open
